September 23, 2003. The Queen Mary 2 left her accommodation dock at the Chantiers de l'Atlantique for her first sea trials. Philip Plisson found her, alone, on stand-by at 25 nautical miles south of Belle-Ile-en-mer, just waiting for him to capture this historic moment: the birth of a legend.
