The Ar-Men lighthouse in the Sein causeway, Brittany
Learn more about photography
The Ar Men lighthouse was built at sea between 1867 and 1881, at the tip of the Chaussée de Sein on the western tip of Brittany. It holds the name of the rock on which it was built. Nicknamed "hell of the hells" by its keepers, it is hard to imagine the conditions of its construction as well as the daily life on board this fortress regularly crossed by the swell coming from the ocean.
